Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15

Listen to me, O royal daughter; take heart to what I say. Forget your people and your homeland far away. For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. [...] The bride, a princess, waits within her chambers, dressed in a gown woven with gold. In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king, accompanied by her bridesmaids. What a joyful, enthusiastic procession as they enter the king's palace!

It's a party!

Put on your party dress
and break out your dancing shoes!

It's time for The Ultimate Blog Party!

Welcome to the party @ Reflections of a Princess! I'm your hostess, Jessica and resident princess. Why reflections of a princess? Well, a few years back God impressed the passage in Psalm 45 onto my heart that I was His daughter, betrothed to His Son, thus not only a heir to grace but also a princess, part of a royal priesthood. There's a lot that followed after that in what God revealed to me, which you'll find on here occasionally.

But here's a little introduction about myself. (If you care for a longer introduction, click here.)

I'm a 20-something living in Southern California married to a wonderful man. I grew up in the USMC, so I've moved 10 times and lived in 16 different houses! Whew!

As of now, I'm an assistant teacher at a Christian Montessori school. In February, I started working part-time as my husband and I are taking steps to building our family.
(We hit a rough spot in the fall after a miscarriage.)

My hobbies? I love to read, write, scrapbook, and sew (although I don't get to it too often). I'm also a junior high youth leader at my church (going on five years now!), and contrary to popular belief these are not horrible years.

Other random things about me? I like ellipses. Which are these little things...I like Law & Order:SVU is fascinating, even though it freaks me out sometimes. I'm a Biggest Loser fan (and secretly, America's Next Top Model). Oh, and I've been know to have a foot/shoe fetish.

I'd love to get know my fellow bloggers,

so leave a comment and a random fact about yourself! : )

I work with the middle schoolers at church, too! They're a fun group. My husband and I have been working with the youth together for almost 10 years now.

Nice to meet you! I love all the same shows too, gotta love reality, hehe.

I use to work with teens in our church, but now I am with the toddlers since becoming a mom. I must admit I miss those times.

Random fact: I love the Return of the Killer Tomatoes movie. I often wonder why George Clooney never brings that film up, such good acting on his part. Hee.

Party On!

Hi, Thanks for stopping by my party! Youth Leaders are awsome!
I love my memories of hanging out at church on Wednesday nites and Sunday nights...so much fun...

Theres a little book you might like! It is called I will hold you in Heaven! It is a christain book and I cant thank of who wrote it, but it deals with the moment we conceive and when and if we lose a child how they are in heaven waiting for us. Even if we lose them and did not even know we were pagnant! Well, in short, God has them in his hand and we WILL see them again! The book has been a comfort to many ladies I know! Hope you can find it...God Bless all that you are doing!
And happy partying!

Your shoes are much more fun than mine, but makes me want to do a "favorite things" post, since I have a couple that are favs! God bless you for working with Jr High...some are gifted in that way, and I am not! (Although I hope I am once my kids are there!!) I also love ellipses...forgot what they were called, thanks! I also love exclamation points, and parentheses, which I am on a self-imposed fast from :) Enjoy the party!

Hello! Thanks for inviting me to the party... I love ellipses too! ;) My random fact... I was born with 12 fingers! Yep, I had an extra one on each pinky finger, but they cut them off when I was born. I learned in college that it's actually the dominant gene to have 12 fingers, but most people don't so that's how the recessive gene became the dominant trait for the human race... yep, I'm a little bit of a geek too, but I normally keep it hidden. LOL! Stop by my place for some nibbles...

Hi, I just subscribed! I love that you love junior high kids. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. We went through a few of those. A friend kept telling me "the Lord will redeem the year of the locust" and He did, more than I could ever expect. I will pray he does the same for you. I'm partying over at www.because-of-abigail.blogspot.com

It's nice to meet you!! What a fun site!

Random fact: My feet are always cold, so I heat them in the sink most every night. I've been doing this for years and just today put a picture up on my blog. It's no longer my little getaway since my daugther caught me and has to join in.

Please stop by Scamp's Place and Teen Lit Review for some book giveaways!

Oh I absolutely love that passage of scripture...it's one that warms my heart and draws me into paradise while I'm still in this clay pot earthen vessel!

Nice to meet you! You sound so sweet!

A random fact about myself...I watched a bird sing from the top of our mesquite tree here in AZ., tonight for a good 30 minutes, and was just mezmerized by its song.

I'll be adding your blog to my bloglines and visiting often.

Peace to you!
Sheila (come visit my blogs too!)
