Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15

Listen to me, O royal daughter; take heart to what I say. Forget your people and your homeland far away. For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. [...] The bride, a princess, waits within her chambers, dressed in a gown woven with gold. In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king, accompanied by her bridesmaids. What a joyful, enthusiastic procession as they enter the king's palace!

Frugal Fridays: Scrapbooking!

I've been scrapbooking since I was about 12 or 13 (I'm going on 11 years of scrapbooking--aren't I getting old?). I really enjoy it, but sometimes it just gets so expensive! Especially with all the cute paper and embellishments! And I have a wedding album to do (and a courtship album to finish...among others)!

But one thing I did from my bridal showers was save the gift bags, cards, and some tissue paper. Some will be reused for other gifts, but you know how there's always certain gift bags you get and the paper is just so cute and you don't want to give it away just yet, but when are you really ever going to use it? Scrapbooking!

I'm finding this very useful for my wedding album, especially with some many cards having embellishments these days. And the gift bags I love (I'm drawn to those with vintage designs) will become scrapbook paper for other albums. It's useful and it's fun! So what do you think?

Cool idea! Never thought of that.

I do keep them all and reuse them when I give gifts. I don't think I've bought a single gift bag since I got married 8 years ago! With baby showers, wedding gifts/showers, birthdays, christmas....i have them for all sorts of holidays!!

I think you're very clever! I also think that, if you are old...I have one foot on a banana peel and the other one in my grave (I'm 51).
Don't forget to check for freebies on line for your scrapbooking, too! My favorites are "3 Scrapateers" "Gotta Pixel" and "RAKscraps."
