Psalm 45:10-11, 13-15

Listen to me, O royal daughter; take heart to what I say. Forget your people and your homeland far away. For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. [...] The bride, a princess, waits within her chambers, dressed in a gown woven with gold. In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king, accompanied by her bridesmaids. What a joyful, enthusiastic procession as they enter the king's palace!

Radiantly Glowing

Smiles are interesting things, once you get to know them. A true smile, that is. I was watching the princess as she conversed with her valiant warrior, and it seems to me that he is the tool that lights her face. Hmm...it's an interesting thing.

Smiling.

It shows such pleasure, such delight. The eyes begin to sparkle, and you know it's a real smile when the eyes begin to scrunch up and then disappear. The beauty of a smile? When it can't be helped. When the person, like the princess, tries to keep the smile down, but can't as the corners of the lips continue to turn up. It's then that joy radiants and their skin begins to glow...no need of a bronzer. It's all natural.

Can I say just one thing? The princess is under that spell every time she talks to her warrior, every time she sees him or hears his voice. She lights up in a smile that can't be helped.

...the most beautiful kind there is.

She is the princess

Her eyes lashes are as fine as feathers, lifting her gaze higher
Her eyes the shape of a doe's, wide-opened and graceful; keeping a secret in their gaze
Her cheeks rise high, shining radiant in the light
She is a majestic creature
Her hair falls down past her shoulders in all fullness with columns of curls arresting in the warmest hues of brown

She is radiant.

Ella es la princessa.

Take a token of truth,

Take a token of truth,
As you travel about God's vast lands;
And as you traverse keep yourself light in heart and renewed in spirit.
Keep on with what you must, dear one,
For the sun shines and the night draws nigh.
Do remember well that your time will come to rise.
But for now, dear dreamer
Often think upon that which you love the most;
And He will guide your way across the moonlight,
Until you have reached the place of your destiny.
Then there may you rest loved one,
In the company of the stars.

And so, a new journey begins...

There was once a hope, a quiet whisper of longing and waiting. When suddenly and quite unexpectantly, a circle of light [light in the light of love] enthroned the princess, and that once quiet whisper sprang forth from hope to greet her with a gentle kiss.

And so, a new journey begins...

From the one who walked the wall at Tintern Abbey

True beauty dwells in deep retreats,
Whose veil is unremoved, Till heart
with heart in concord beats,
And the lover is beloved.

Now this lotus,

although it was different was beautiful just the same. Of course, you couldn't tell her that.

She wouldn't believe you. She hides herself behind rods of black grass, putting on a mask hoping that she can hide what she thinks she is. Sadly, what comes out is a reflection of beauty hidden under some disguise marking itself as strength when all it really is is fear.

There was a once a fleeting thought, of perhaps more than a miracle, more than a change...more than something great.

Just once perhaps, she thought, I could witness such a wonder. What would that be like? Would it be beyond my wildest dreams, or she sadly contemplated, might it be less than I'd expect?

But just perhaps, it would be greater than anything I have ever dreamed...anything I have ever see. I'd rather believe the perhaps instead of the maybe. Perhaps leaves room for hope to breathe. I'd not want to the culprit to suffocate the breath of hope.

Life is much better without bearing the burden of fallen hope.

Lullaby

Hush my child and don't you cry,
Father has a lullaby
Calm your heart my dear sweet child,
And hear your Love sing through the night

Sweet protection that He gives,
from your fears and through the years;
Hush my child and you will know,
the One who sings in overflow,

His words are sweet, His words are good,
His love is pure and always should
come through the night and meet the daybreak
with delight

Trust my child, as you rest
those arms will keep you warm,
against His breast as he sings sweetly over you,
and rest.

For Chloe...

There once was a lotus flower that was different from all the rest. It was not the ugliest of the pond nor was it the prettiest. It was simply different.

Aside from the fact that its petals were streaked with the indifference of the sun, making the usual shade of pink--which the rest of the pond bore--a metamorphosis leading to its scalloped edge a strange shade of a green infused black. No, this lotus flower was not rotting and no it was not a mistake or the spawn of some awful genetic engineering gone wrong. It was simply different.

Now, once the princess said she believed

the whole world seemed to come alive with the light of life, and her countenance was forever changed. It was the sort of change that came gradually and was ever welcome; she was not one to like her faults, but preferred to see them melt away into something more useful, and perhaps even beautiful.

Once I even heard her say she enjoyed the life of belief, unusual as it is.

"Quick! Say something witty and fast!"

And so she paused as she waited for what she hoped would fit the requirement, however her mind and tongue seemed to fail her.

"Just one moment, please, time will wait while I ponder."

And so it shall.

The moment returns, but with a brief bout of trepidation, she speaks, "Aye, why pressure me with the first word? Don't you realize that remembrance lives in the last?"
