Update on the birthday surprise

Here was my first clue, which came in an e-mail yesterday:

So in honor of you birth please be ready for your coach by 6 PM. A dashingly handsome man will come around that time to carry you off. The delay, unfortunately, is necessary. Wear something that helps you give expression to the timeless truth that you are beautiful.
